5 Questions with Sashani Ewar

Educator, Entrepreneur and Youtuber.

1. Tell a little about your professional journey

I am Sashani Ewar, an educator whose believes as rooted in Nelson Mandela’s philosophy of ‘Education is the most important tool that you can use to change the world.’ My pedagogical journey began over 4 years ago equipping me with experience in Visual Arts from the K-12 level. My journey as an art educator was birthed from my love for art and my passion to help individuals to learn, be creative and become the best version of themselves in society.

2. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur.

My passion for learning and effecting change, coupled with my zeal for success and

love for growth, all inspired me to become an entrepreneur. In an effort to help others and the economy, my desire is to create job opportunities and cripple brain drain.

3. What advice do you have for other educators would like to become entrepreneurs?

In pursuing your dream of becoming an entrepreneur it is important that you are passionate about the product or service that you are offering. Your passion is what will drive your motivation especially when your earnings are stagnant. In addition, it is imperative that you research the product or service that you want to offer an ensure that there is a niche for it.

4. Tell us about Reach Educational Services and how students in Jamaica can access and benefit from these services.

Reach Educational Services is a one stop online education hub that caters to students and educators. REACH is a global platform that provides online tutoring to kindergarten to pre-university students in all subjects. REACH also provides professional development courses to educators. Apart of REACH’s mission is to utilize today’s technology to educate tomorrow’s leaders in order to provide a global competitive advantage to succeed in the 21st century. Our platform is accessible to students globally. We offer packages for PEP, CSEC, CAPE and the REACH Accelerator Plus Program. Our tutoring sessions are tailored to our learners’ academic needs. Signing up is free! Once a student creates an account, they will have access to their student dashboard. All live sessions are conducted on our platform. Our team comprises of trained teachers, educational consultants, experienced professionals, professors, graduate assistant and Ivy League graduates.

5. How do you balance being an educator, entrepreneur, youtuber etc.

Time management is key! I plan and set my daily goals and go by my planner.
